Owner Dan Williams has dedicated years to studying leadership—what it means to step back, gain perspective, and return with greater clarity and purpose. Inspired by his journey, he created Blueberry Brook as a space where executive teams, visionaries, and changemakers can pause, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.
Just a train ride away from the bustling streets of New York City, our serene retreat offers more than a picturesque escape—it’s an opportunity to reset. Here, amidst rolling fields and quiet woodlands, leaders can find the space they need to think deeply, recharge, and foster meaningful connections.
Whether you're seeking a leadership retreat, a space for creative breakthroughs, or a place to bring family and friends together, Blueberry Brook blends rustic charm with modern comforts to create an unforgettable experience.

Blueberry Brook Farm Resort began with Brooke Kottmann, a home remodeler from Maryland, who bought the property from its struggling owner. Brooke and his daughter, Ginny, envisioned their dream B&B, sketching plans at Simeon’s. Ginny, an artist, creatively incorporated the 40 doors Brooke brought, embedding her artistry throughout the house.
With help from her husband Bob, a renowned glassblower, and despite setbacks, Ginny transformed the property, training her children and local kids in various trades. After seven years, the house was complete. Eventually, Ginny and Bob moved to New Jersey, selling Blueberry Brook to me. Ginny felt as if she had built the house for me, and it perfectly aligned with my dream of running a farm tourism business.
Blueberry Brook, with its enchanting fans and historic schoolhouse rental, is now an ideal venue for weddings, corporate events, family reunions, retreats, and more. We pride ourselves on offering the most precious gift of all—time with family and friends. Unlike venues that rush through multiple events, we encourage our guests to relax and rejuvenate over an extended stay, providing a serene and welcoming environment where memories are made and cherished.
